— How Much —
While wooden floors used to be for the happy few only, nowadays, it is possible to acquier a woodfloor for a budget within reason. A square metre should not cost more than a diner in a reasonable restaurant. When choosing a design parquet with fancy patterns, you might need to consider a diner for two. When going for a waterproof and virtually indistinguishable from real wood immitation parquet, you'll need less.
WOOD
Material
The more your planks are to be thick, wide and clean, the more you are to spend. Fancy patterns as like chevrons and versailles tiles, will cost substantially more
€100
Supply and install
Glue and labour will cost about half of the cost of your floor. When installing floating, there is no need for 1KG/m2 of glue, neither you need the most professional installer. However, you do need underlay and expansion profiles and skirtings to cover the gaps in between the different rooms and the wall. Floors can't be flush neither they will sound as like solid rock and eventual leaks can disappear underneath showing up a few months later.

Maintenance
UV coated wood floors do not need too much maintenance. Instead of using standard water and soap, use a soap suitable for oiled or lacquered parquet floors.
